What does 4.5kA mean on the PXB2-63 MCB?
It is the published short-circuit breaking-capacity value, stated as 4.5kA Icn = Ics. It does not describe normal load current or guarantee suitability at every installation point.
What does the kA rating tell you about PXB2-63?
kA means thousands of amperes of short-circuit current under the applicable test conditions. PXB2-63 rated-current options are separately published as 6A–63A.
Is a higher kA model always better than PXB2-63?
A higher verified rating may be needed where the prospective fault current is higher, but it is not a universal quality score. Select from fault level, coordination, standard, dimensions and project requirements.
Is 10kA the same as a 10,000A continuous current rating?
No. A 10kA value refers to short-circuit interruption, not continuous loading. The conductor and normal load must be matched to the breaker's ampere rating.
What is the difference between 4.5kA, 6kA and 10kA MCBs?
They state different short-circuit breaking capacities. The installation's prospective short-circuit current and coordination study determine the minimum acceptable duty; rated current and curve are separate choices.
How many watts can a 10A MCB supply?
Power cannot be determined from 10A alone; it depends on system voltage, phase arrangement, power factor, load behavior and applicable continuous-loading rules. The circuit and conductor must be designed together.
