What does 10kA mean on the FB2H-63 breaker?
FB2H-63 publishes 10kA Icu and 7.5kA Ics short-circuit values. These describe fault-interruption duty, not its 10A–63A continuous rated-current range.
When should a 10kA plug-in MCB be used?
Only after confirming the prospective short-circuit current, required Ics duty, coordination and panel compatibility. A 10kA label does not make the breaker suitable for every board or fault level.
What is the difference between a 10kA and 6kA plug-in breaker?
The stated short-circuit duty differs, and Icu/Ics values may also differ. Compare the complete verified product data and receiving-panel requirements rather than treating the devices as interchangeable.
Which is better, a plug-in or bolt-on breaker?
The correct mounting style is the one approved for the receiving assembly. FB2H-63 uses plug-in mounting; a bolt-on breaker follows a different mechanical and connection design.
Are 10kA plug-in circuit breakers safe?
They can be suitable when their electrical ratings, base or panel interface and installation instructions all match the application. Product current, curve and breaking capacity alone are not enough to establish compatibility.
Do plug-in circuit breakers go bad after ten years?
