FB2HL-63 Residual Current Circuit Breaker with Overcurrernt Protection – Electromagnetic Type
The FB2HL-63 RCBO provides overload, short-circuit and residual-current protection within the published 10A–63A range. Its verified product data lists 10kA Icu; 7.5kA Ics, 1P+N / 2P and C. Final selection must match the conductor, load, prospective fault current, installation system and applicable local rules.
Product Overview
FB2HL-63 is a plug-in residual current circuit breaker with integral overcurrent protection for 240V AC systems. It combines C-curve overload and short-circuit protection with Type AC, 30mA residual-current protection. It should be selected as an RCBO, not as an MCB with implied leakage protection.
The model data references IEC 61009-1. Standards, certification scope and technical documents must be confirmed for the ordered configuration and destination market.
Key Features
Typical Applications

| Fault interruption | 10kA Icu; 7.5kA Ics | Prospective short-circuit current must not exceed the applicable rating |
| Board fit | Plug-in mounting | Confirm compatible base, dimensions, connection arrangement and maintenance space |
Breaking Capacity
10kA Icu; 7.5kA Ics is the published product value. Confirm the prospective short-circuit current at the installation point.
Trip and Load Behaviour
C is the available trip/protection option. Match it to load inrush and required disconnection performance.
Pole Configuration
Available arrangement: 1P+N / 2P. Confirm which conductors must be switched and protected under local rules.
RCBO Protection Function
This model adds Type AC 30mA residual-current protection to overcurrent protection.
Ordering Guide
- Specify the exact model: FB2HL-63.
- State the required current rating within 10A–63A.
- Confirm pole arrangement: 1P+N / 2P.
- Confirm trip or protection option: C.
- Provide system voltage, expected fault level, destination market, quantity and any document requirements.
Installation and Coordination Checks
- Verify conductor material and cross-section against the circuit calculation and the published terminal range.
- Confirm the prospective short-circuit current does not exceed the applicable breaking rating.
- Check upstream/downstream coordination, enclosure temperature, grouping, altitude and required clearances.
- Installation, isolation, testing and maintenance must be carried out by qualified personnel under applicable rules.

FB2HL-63 Product FAQ
What does 30mA mean on the FB2HL-63 RCBO?
30mA is the published rated residual operating current, IΔn. It is separate from the 10A–63A rated-current options used for overload and conductor protection.
What is the difference between a 30mA and 100mA RCBO?
The residual operating threshold differs, which affects the intended protection and coordination. FB2HL-63 is published as 30mA; do not substitute another sensitivity without checking the design and local rules.
What is a 30mA RCBO?
It combines overload and short-circuit protection with residual-current protection at a published 30mA IΔn. FB2HL-63 is Type AC and uses plug-in mounting, so waveform suitability and panel fit must also be confirmed.
Is an RCBO better than an RCD?
They perform different roles. An RCBO combines residual-current and overcurrent protection for a circuit, while an RCD may provide residual-current protection for multiple downstream circuits and requires suitable overcurrent protection.
What is a disadvantage of using an RCBO?
An RCBO must match more parameters—rated current, curve, residual-current type and sensitivity, poles, breaking capacity and board fit. Incorrect selection can create compatibility or protection gaps.
Which is more sensitive, 30mA or 100mA?
30mA is the lower residual operating-current value and is therefore more sensitive numerically. The required sensitivity must still be selected from the protection objective, coordination and applicable local rules.
