The circuit breaker is the core safety appliance in the power distribution system of residential buildings. It can serve as a manual switch to achieve the normal connection and disconnection of the circuit, facilitating safe power disconnection during line maintenance. Moreover, when an overload occurs in the circuit, it can automatically delay and trip, preventing fires caused by excessive heat from the wires. In the event of a short circuit fault where the live wire and neutral wire come into direct contact, it will instantly cut off the power supply to prevent the high-temperature electric arc generated by the large current from igniting the lines and furniture. In residential buildings, circuit breakers are usually installed separately for different circuits such as the main power supply, lighting, ordinary sockets, kitchen and bathroom, air conditioners and water heaters. This allows for independent control of each circuit, so that the tripping of a certain circuit will not affect the power supply of the entire house. It also provides targeted protection against overload, short circuit and leakage, preventing residential electrical fires and electric shock accidents at their source. It is an indispensable safety device for home electricity usage.
